Last spring (April 2010), I began a commission, embroidering neighborhood scenes on pieces of linen 11" X 11". These panels sit in front of light boxes, and are one of the more decorative aspects of the decor at 61 Local, a new public house or "pub" at 61 Bergen Street in Cobble Hill. The bar features food and craft beers that are locally produced. The decor is spare and minimal, and the atmosphere is friendly and low key. Here are links to some articles about the opening:
