Employees must wash hands before returning to work

Last spring (April 2010), I began a commission, embroidering neighborhood scenes on pieces of linen 11" X 11". These panels sit in front of light boxes, and are one of the more decorative aspects of the decor at 61 Local, a new public house or "pub" at 61 Bergen Street in Cobble Hill. The bar features food and craft beers that are locally produced. The decor is spare and minimal, and the atmosphere is friendly and low key.

He Disappeared into a Whiskey Night

"Friday night at local bar, tall, dark-haired guy dropped napkin in my lap with partial sketch of me, then disappeared into a whiskey night still holding my sketch."
